- EMPIRE
GEN V
In the second season of Gen V, the acclaimed spin-off series set in the Emmy® Award-winning world of The Boys, Homelander tightens his authoritarian grip on
America, and the elite halls of Godolkin University become a breeding ground for superhero supremacy. Rumors of a brewing civil war between superheroes and humans abound. And Godolkin University’s mysterious and charismatic new dean - Cipher - is unveiling a curriculum designed not just to train heroes, but to forge soldiers. And it’s up to Marie Moreau and her friends to stop him.
This year, campus life isn’t just lectures, frat parties, and superpowered butt chugs; it’s a snapshot of a nation at war with itself - between what’s real and what’s fake, democracy and oppression - and the fight to hold on to hope in the face of evil.

Director Steve Boyum Explains How ‘Gen V’ Reached New Heights in Season 2
"Directing, to me, is reacting," says Boyum. "What I've learned over the years is that actors are bringing something that they've prepared, and they've studied this character. The cameraman has an idea of what he wants to do visually. Everybody loves what they're doing, and they can bring things that, as a director and a producer, you're reacting to this. I look at directing and filmmaking as a paintbrush in someone's hand. There's 500 bristles on a
brush."
